Dog A.I.D. changes lives by enabling physically disabled people across the UK to train their own pets to become qualified assistance dogs, supported by volunteer trainers. These dogs increase independence by helping with practical tasks, building confidence, reducing isolation and the need for care.

Story

Donate to Dog A.I.D. and your generous gift will support more partnerships like Ben and Phoebe. Ben says "I cannot actually put in full words the change that having Phoebe as my Assistance Dog has made to my life...I can actually now more than ever be part of society in a way I couldn't before".

Dog A.I.D. is a national Assistance Dog charity. We work with a dedicated team of hero volunteer dog trainers who coach physically Disabled people to train their own pet dog to become an Assistance Dog.

Our training works with the very special bond that exists between a dog owner and their pet, creating a unique partnership that changes a life.

Having an Assistance Dog can make an incredible difference to the life of a physically Disabled person. The Assistance Dog is trained to carry out specific tasks, meaning that their owner can become more independent, confident and less socially isolated.
