On Thursday 22nd April we discovered that our beloved green minibus had been stolen. It was locked and parked in the driveway of our community centre in Islington.

Almost a week has passed and it is unlikely that our minibus will be found and returned. Although it is expected that the insurance will help us get a new vehicle, the process will take time.

To ensure continuity of much needed support services, we need to act quickly. We are therefore fundraising to cover our additional costs due to the bus being stolen, including hiring a replacement bus and the cost of strengthening security.

The green minibus was used daily to transport children and young people from school and home to our afterschool clubs. We also used it to deliver shopping to our service users that are less mobile or shielding due to COVID. The theft of our minibus has a direct impact on our services users and families. It is not just a minibus to our community, but a vehicle to much needed support in so many ways.
