Why We’re Running 🏉

At Coleraine Grammar School, rugby is more than just a sport – it’s a community, a tradition, and a pathway for young athletes to grow. Our players train hard, represent their school with pride, and learn valuable life skills like teamwork, discipline, and resilience. However, to keep improving, we need your support.

This year, we’re taking on the Belfast City Marathon Relay to raise vital funds for coaching, strength & conditioning, and player development. Half of the proceeds will also go towards supporting the CGS Rugby Tour, helping our players gain valuable experience on the road. Our goal is to give every student the opportunity to train, compete, and excel at the highest level, regardless of their background.

The Challenge – Belfast City Marathon Relay 🏃‍♂️

On 4th May 2025, 10 teams of 5 runners will take on the Belfast City Marathon Relay, covering distances between 4 and 7.5 miles each. Every runner is committed to raising at least £100, with the ultimate goal of reaching £5,000 to enhance our rugby program and support the tour.

By supporting us, you’re not just helping fund equipment, coaching, and training—you’re investing in the next generation of CGS rugby players and giving them the opportunity to experience a life-changing rugby tour.
