Chaimae Mouttaki is a gifted young artist living in Chefchaouen, Morocco. She is a young woman of incredible character, creativity, and determination. She is also living on the autism spectrum and battling severe, complex medical conditions that impact her daily life.

Despite the overwhelming hurdles she faces, Chaimae has discovered a powerful passion that transcends her challenges: her art. "Art provides her with an important means of self-expression, personal development, and social inclusion."

CHAIMAE'S REALITY

Behind her vibrant, expressive canvases lies a grueling, lifelong health battle. Chaimae’s medical conditions require specialized, continuous care to maintain her mobility, health, and quality of life:

- Epilepsy: Requires daily medication and ongoing neurological evaluations.

- Cardiac Condition: Demands specialized medical examinations and routine monitoring.

- Functional Impairment: Affects the left side of her body (both arm and leg), requiring intensive, ongoing physical therapy and rehabilitation.

- Developmental Delays & Psychological Care: Requires dedicated psychological support and specialized care.

Providing this critical, lifelong care comes at a significant financial cost, amounting to approximately €10,000 per year (over 100,000 Dirham) in ongoing therapy, brain scans, cardiac monitoring, and medications. Her family simply cannot afford even a fraction of such an amount

Chaimae dreams of becoming a recognized artist. Beyond her medical care, her artwork represents her independence, her joy, and her connection to the wider world. Educators and local supporters who have seen her artwork are consistently moved by her talent, focus, and dedication. However, living where she does and with her conditions severely limits her ability to promote and sell her pieces on a scale that can sustain her, and her family live on the edge of poverty.

OUR GOAL is twofold: To ensure she receives the urgent medical treatment she needs, and to help her exhibit, print, and share her artwork with a global audience.
