The reasons why I am asking people to Support my chosen charity St David’s Hospice Care are :

Personal experience of this charity in support of my father in law who was terminally ill with Leukaemia. The level of medical care and also emotional support to him and his wider family was exceptional and helped him and us as a family to cope with his illness.

St David’s care for a wide range of people who are terminally ill across Greater Gwent so many people in Monmouthshire have been touched by their care and professionalism in difficult and distressing circumstances and so many people speak highly of the organisation.

We will all have experience of cancer, either ourselves or members of our family at some point in our life and palliative care is one of the most challenging experiences that people will face and St David’s Hospice Care provides full and caring support .

There will be a number of charity events throughout my year of office. I urge everyone , if you can to support my charity fund which will all go to St David’s Hospice Care.
