Mountbatten is the Isle of Wight's only hospice and is known for innovation across the UK and beyond. We provide expert medical, nursing and domiciliary end of life care and bereavement support to people in their own homes, including care homes, in our Newport building and in the local hospital.

Story

Mountbatten is set to lose £1 million as a result of cancelled events and challenges, and the closure of charity shops. Please help us rebuild that income by taking part in Challenge100.

Your kindness is changing the way people across the Isle of Wight receive end of life care and bereavement support.

"Thank you for visiting when you said you would, you turned up every time we expected you. Thank you for coming in the middle of that last night and staying with us. Thank you for washing my husband and helping us to dress him in his favourite pyjamas, to comb his hair and to clean his teeth - he was such a proud man and you took note. Thank you that we have such good memories of the last night of his life, where all was calm and contentment." Wife of Mountbatten at Home patient

Know that however you support Mountbatten - through volunteering, donating, thinking about leaving a gift in your Will, fundraising or taking part in events such as Mountbatten's iconic Walk the Wight - you are giving people across the Island precious time to be together.

Thanks to you, together we are able to help more people than ever before. Thanks to you, we are caring for more people on the Isle of Wight than ever before in their own homes, on our hospice ward and in the local hospital. Thanks to you, together we can continue to be there when you need us most. Thank you.

Living, dying, remembering.
