Black Country Women’s Aid is an independent charity which has supported survivors of abuse and exploitation in the West Midlands for almost 40 years. We believe that no-one should have to live in fear of violence and abuse. We listen, we support, we care.

Story

Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Black Country Women’s Aid’s (BCWA)

Why BCWA is needed:

One in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. For men, that figure is one in seven. One child in twenty will be a victim of sexual abuse; that’s at least one child for every classroom in the country.

For 40 years, BCWA has been helping victims and survivors to escape from violence, recover from trauma and start again.

BCWA supports women, men and children from all over our region and we answer 13,000 calls for help a year.

BCWA is proud to the be the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Charity of the Year 2026/27
