Champions of Chesil Bank Chapel Challenge

The champions of Chesil Bank took on the huge challenge of climbing the steep hill up to the chapel for 2 whole hours. Why? In a bid to fundraise some money for their pre-school. Please support their fantastic effort by giving what you can.

Set in the delightful village of Abbotsbury, we value playing in the fresh air, spending time in our outdoor area, climbing, riding, playing in the sand, scooting, running and tending to our garden and allotment area.

Story

The Challenge of Chesil Bank…

At the end of June the parents were informed that the preschool would be closing at the end of July due to a low number of children returning in September and the cost of keeping the preschool open. Many members of the community of Abbotsbury were upset to think of such vibrant and important aspect of the village going. A number of parents have stepped forward and agreed to take on the task of keeping the preschool open - our aim is to try and increase the profile of what we believe is a unique and special learning environment, and one we know many parents would make the effort of bringing their child into Abbotsbury if they knew we existed. Our work is already underway and we are making good progress.

Our little champions wanted to do contribute as well to keeping their preschool open as they would be so sad if they had to find somewhere else to go… they just aren’t ready to leave yet! So they took on the challenge of climbing up the steep hill up to the chapel in a continual 2 hour relay. There were a few sweeties at the top in order to encourage them to go up more than once! Some of them made it up there 3 times, that is a long way for short legs!
