Imagine the excitement when a child connects with their dedicated reading volunteer for their weekly 30-minute adventure into stories! At the heart of these magical moments are the laptops and headsets we provide to every participating classroom. With daily use by enthusiastic young hands, our equipment needs regular replacement and upgrading.
£60 provides a headset for clearer communication and £300 funds an entire laptop and headset package.
Our heart-warming end-of-year reading celebrations, where children and volunteers meet face-to-face, culminate in each volunteer presenting their child with a personalised activity book filled with stories and word games to enjoy throughout the summer holidays. We want to create vibrant new editions, reaching 3,800 children who might otherwise miss out on summer reading opportunities.
£10 provides 5 children with a summer activity book that will keep the reading magic alive during the long break from school.
