Charity Link aims to improve the health, wellbeing and dignity of local people facing hardship and crisis through the provision of essential items.

We support approximately 5,000 people and children (a third of the people we support are children and young people) a year across Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.

We believe that everyone should have the means to be warm, safe and fed and have the essential items we all need for a decent standard of living.

It is believed that one in every ten children does not have a bed of their own (The impact of the cost of living crisis on bed poverty report – Barnardo’s: Sept 23). They might be sharing a bed with siblings or parents or sleeping on a sofa or on the floor.

Due to our innovative way of working (untapping funds from charitable trusts) we can turn every £10 donated into £50 of essential items - this means every £35 raised or donated can buy a bed for someone in desperate need.

To mark Charity Link's 150th anniversary, we would love to raise £5,250 to provide 150 beds to people and children currently sleeping without one.
