Charity Cricket Day in Memory of Maggie Smith — Supporting Sussex Cancer Fund
Join us on Saturday 13th September at St James Montefiore Cricket Club, Keymer Road, Ditchling for a special day of cricket, community, and compassion — all in loving memory of Maggie Smith.
Maggie was a much-loved wife, mum, friend, and member of the community. Her warmth, kindness and strength touched so many lives. To honour her memory, we’re coming together to do something she would have loved — spending a day outdoors, surrounded by friends and family, with laughter, sport and good food, while raising vital funds for a cause close to our hearts.
What's Happening on the Day:
🏏 Charity Cricket Matches – from 10:30am to 6000pm
🍻 Bar Open All Day – refreshments available throughout
🍔 Delicious Food
🎟 Raffle with fantastic prizes
All funds raised will go to the Sussex Cancer Fund, a local charity that makes a real difference to people affected by cancer in Sussex. From funding cutting-edge research and life-enhancing equipment to supporting patients with massage, counselling, acupuncture and more — every penny helps.
Maggie’s legacy lives on through the love she shared and the community she built around her. We hope you’ll support this event — by coming along, donating, or simply spreading the word.
Whether you're cheering from the sidelines or raising a glass at the bar, thank you for helping us celebrate Maggie and support local cancer services.
👉 Please give what you can and help us hit our fundraising target.
Together, we can make a difference.
