Charlotte is the running London Marathon on 21st April to fulfill a bucket list dream and to raise money for Shepherds Down Special School, particularly funds for a minibus.

Minibuses allow our children to have regular swimming lessons, horse riding and various school trips.

After several years of being rejected on the ballot (lottery) for a place in London, Charlotte took part in a year long competition in Eastleigh running club and managed to secure one of two spaces. This involved participating in numerous running leagues (CC6, RR10, Hampshire Road Race League, Hampshire Cross Country Championships). I also received points for being a run leader in my club and volunteering at events. So it has been quite a journey even before the real training in January started!
