Story

It is hard to believe that food poverty exists in Cherry Hinton, or that members of our own community currently have difficulty accessing a healthy diet for themselves and their families. In direct response to the Covid-19 crisis, Cherry Hinton launched a food hub and community fridge at St Andrew's Church in April 2020. The hub is helping to address some of the big issues of food poverty and food waste. Surplus foods from supermarkets and locally cooked ready meals are redistributed to the residents of Cherry Hinton. Hubs are now appearing around the city, demand is expected to increase and we need your help to keep the hub going. Any donation you make will be used to help someone in your local community who may need a little support during this difficult time.
