Thriving Families is the Charity of the Year for McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks, supporting parents and families in Ellesmere Port when everyday family life feels overwhelming.

Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook. Challenges around behaviour, relationships, school, mental health or additional needs can build quietly, leaving families feeling isolated and unsure where to turn. Thriving Families offers early, confidential and non-judgemental support so families can work through difficulties before they reach crisis.

Support is practical, emotional and tailored to each family. This might mean helping parents and teenagers reconnect, supporting families to rebuild communication with schools, or guiding parents through complex systems such as SEND support. The aim is simple: to help families move from coping to thriving.

Thriving Families is coordinated by Cheshire Community Foundation and delivered by trusted local charities including Koala North West, who work closely with families in the community. Support is shaped around what works for each family and lasts as long as needed.
