St Luke's you are the best at cooking and gardening. You are the nicest centre I have ever seen in my entire life." Recent visitor, aged 7
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact everybody's lives, St Luke's Community Centre is raising funds to help parents and families living in our neighbourhood to keep children healthy, active and engaged. Children have spent the last year being stuck indoors, unable to see friends, go to school or enjoy their hobbies. Research shows this has taken its toll on the wellbeing of children and young people who are now experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.
As restrictions ease, St Luke's is very pleased to be offering a new programme of after school clubs which provide opportunities for children to come together in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. Our activities promote physical health, encourage creativity, teach new skills, support social and emotional development, are inspiring and, most importantly, filled with fun! We are providing this unique and FREE support to all families living in south Islington and particularly target those who have been affected either financially or emotionally by Covid-19.
A donation of £25 will provide groups of budding chefs, dancers, table tennis players, gardeners and artists with one hour of expert group tuition. And both children and parents will benefit from the wrap-around support available from St Luke's to help improve wellbeing, form new friendships and move forward post-Covid.
Thank you so much for your support.
