Story
Fundraise for Children with Cancer UK and help us fund life-saving research and provide support for children, like Lucy, going through cancer treatment. Create a school/youth group fundraising page via the 'Start Fundraising' button and share your page to receive donations for your organisation.
Lucy was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma on 12 July 2021 when she was just 11 months old. After a 7cm Rhabdomyosarcoma was found in Lucy's vagina, her family had to make life changing decisions about her fertility and getting ready to start the first of nine rounds of chemotherapy.
Lucy was officially declared in remission on the 5 April 2023 and in July 2023, Lucy's family raised nearly £2,000 for Children with Cancer UK. However, Lucy is not out of the woods, she is having regular scans and monitoring. This will go on probably for the rest of her life.
And this is why were asking schools, nurseries and youth groups to take part in Children with Cancer UKs Pyjamarama. Many children, like Lucy, going through cancer treatment spend lots of time in hospital or resting in bed or on the sofa and their familiar pyjamas are a source of comfort. We would love to see children across the country wearing their pyjamas this year in solidarity with children and young people going through cancer treatment.
Children with Cancer UK are one of the leading children and young peoples cancer charities in the UK; tirelessly fighting to improve experiences and outcomes for patients and their families since 1988. Our vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer. As well as funding vital research, we also raise awareness to inspire action and fund support for families through treatment and beyond.
Thank you for your support.
