Poverty deprives parents of access to education, healthcare and nutritious food. This results in fatalities and a poor quality of life for their babies.
"If I hadn't been in the intervention, I would have probably given my baby away, but thanks to them, I decided to keep her, and she is my daily happiness,” Saida, a young mother in Bolivia says. “Now my dream is to finish school and then become a lawyer or a nurse. I also want my baby to study and have a good life."
Restaurando Vidas Child Development Centre needs funding to continue running their Child Survival intervention to support 15 vulnerable mothers and their babies in the first year of life. Healthcare, workshops and community support will transform quality of life and even save lives. Compassion guarantees that mothers can cover their health costs and give birth to their babies safely.
