JDI helps local community projects or charitiies (primarily in Southern Africa) that need support. JDI is made up of volunteer groups, formed by like-minded people who want to help those who need it. JDI allows groups to champion their own specific projects with an emphasis on just doing it.

Story

Chipoto clinic serves the community in the Chewore and Kanyemba areas of Zimbabwe. This is in the most North Eastern corner of Zimbabwe, where Zimbabwe borders both Mocambique and Zambia. We want to help the clinic by replacing the batteries and control system to get the solar power they have up and running. This will help provide better sterilisation (rather than boiling on a fire) and give the medical staff the ability to better use the medical equipment they have to care for this very poor community.
