The two societies aim to create an unforgettable experience for both the 500+ audience members and the 250+ musicians that will take the stage. Four outstanding professional soloists from across the country and beyond will come together to enhance the drama and scale of our evening, and we will once again welcome Tim Burke, celebrated North Eastern conductor and Musical Director, to the helm of our ensemble.

Bringing together this large-scale project and all of its exciting elements is by no means a small task both administratively and financially. With high venue hire costs and various expenses along the way, particularly with our collaborations with professional musicians, we rely on the generosity and support of donors. We ultimately believe that the experience that these funds will create for students in Durham University is unparalleled and will be remembered for life, and we hope that you can share this belief too.
