Story
Imagine the joy of scoring your first goal, the laughter of teammates cheering you on, and the confidence that comes from belonging. For many disabled people, these moments feel out of reach - until they find Disability Sports Coach.
Enhancing lives at our Community Clubs
This Christmas, we’re asking you to help create life-changing opportunities for disabled children and adults.
Every week, our Community Clubs provide a safe, welcoming space where members can make friends, stay active, and feel valued.
But demand is growing. Just 1 in 4 disabled pupils take part in school sport. Families tell us how much our Community Club sessions mean- especially during the festive season when isolation can feel even harder. With your support, we can continue to run our inclusive sessions and bring the magic of sport to people who need it most.

Temi’s story
Temi lives with cerebral palsy. Looking to play his favourite sports, Temi joined one of our Community Clubs in 2018, before being inspired to volunteer and help others like him living with a disability.
With our support, Temi took the next steps to become a fully qualified sports coach - fulfilling a lifelong dream. Temi now coaches at our Community Club in Wandsworth - the very club he started attending in 2018!
And that opened up a world of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities – with us by Temi’s side every step of the way. In September 2024, Temi shared his story at a Nike summit at the Paris Paralympic Games – and in July 2025, he performed the Coin Toss at Wimbledon’s Men’s Singles Wheelchair Final, meeting British tennis stars and even royalty.

Temi, pictured below with his mum Rachel, says: "I found it hard to do sports when I was younger - some people assume that because you are disabled, you can't do sport. It made me feel frustrated being pushed to the sidelines. Joining DSC was a great breakthrough - and I still want to do more. I want to be part of giving every disabled person the chance to get into sport. And I want to be a part of changing attitudes."

How your gift will help
- £10 helps send out home activity packs with instructions for sports activities and games to do at home - so the whole family can play together and build bonds.
- £15 buys an Audible Visually Impaired Football for use in our club sessions, so people with hearing impairments can join football sessions with friends.
- £50 pays for a specially-trained inclusive sports coach to deliver fun activity sessions that are adapted for all in the community.
