The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileFor all of us, 2022 has been a challenging year, with many post covid issues and the financial crisis putting many animals in need of help, some animals are well cared for pets that unfortunately need rehoming due to personal circumstances changing but sadly we have also seen a rise in abandonment, cruelty, and irresponsible pet ownership.
December is always a busy month at Greenacres with requests for help rising and adoptions decreasing, and a time of year we must ride the storm until the break of the new year when things usually start to improve slightly. We are expecting this December to be no different and if it follows the trend of the previous twelve months it will be busier, more stressful, and more demanding than ever before.
We will help as many animals as we possibly can, but your support and donations will mean we can help more, there are many ways to help. You have found yourself on the JustGiving donation page and this is a great way to help, maybe donate the money you would have spent on Christmas cards, or maybe a loved one would prefer a donation to a charity instead of a gift, here is the place to offer that support.
Hugo is one of the many animals we have helped this year, 11 weeks old and needing surgery on both eyes and attention to a dysfunctional front leg.
Sage a poor little cat that needed emergency surgery to amputate a damaged leg, Sage had been suffering sometime before being found as she had active maggots in her wounds.
Miley brought in with a ruptured eye needing immediate treatment.
Sammy an older lurcher abandoned like rubbish with a host of health issues needing addressing.
Little Owin was found on the side of the road, blind and suffering from neurological problems, sadly despite of efforts he did not survive. Sometimes we cannot always save them.
These are just a tiny selection of stories from thousands of animals we have helped this year and with your support we hope that December will be just as successful.
