Christmas Giving Campaign 2025

This Christmas, please help CWRC support women facing disadvantage to build better lives and safer futures. As the only Women's Centre in our Cambridgeshire region - your donation truly does make all the difference.

Closes 30/01/2026

CWRC provides a range of services, including: support groups for survivors of domestic abuse; professional housing and homelessness advice; counselling, and creative activities to support mental wellbeing. Our Free Shop reduces textile waste and stocks clothing, toiletries and period products.

Story

For many people, Christmas is a time of warmth, family and connection.

For others, it’s the hardest time of the year...

Winter brings longer nights, rising costs and increased isolation. At CWRC, we make sure women are not left to face this alone.

Support when it's needed

Last winter, Leila reached out to CWRC. She had been placed in emergency accommodation with her children after fleeing domestic abuse. Christmas was approaching, she was alone, isolated and overwhelmed by the complex situation she had to navigate. Above all, she wanted her children to have the best Christmas possible given their circumstances.

“I didn’t think anyone would understand, but CWRC did."

Through CWRC’s programmes and one-to-one support, Leila found practical help with clothes and household items, professional advocacy to navigate the homelessness system and companionship and warmth from women who understood. CWRC even managed to find panto tickets for the family.

Your Donation Creates Real Impact

Every gift this Christmas helps CWRC:

- Provide safe, specialist support for women facing domestic abuse, homelessness and poverty
