As Christmas approaches, we want to help spread some festive cheer to those families who will struggle to afford food basics, let alone any Christmas goodies this year.

Building Futures East is based in Walker, and has been supporting local families in need since the start of the pandemic. Every week, we deliver food parcels to those who require assistance, ensuring that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. But with the holiday season approaching, we want to do more. We aim to deliver Christmas Hampers filled not only with essential items but also a touch of luxury to bring smiles to the faces of those we serve. For families with children, we're determined to include a special toy and stocking filler for each child, because every child deserves a little magic from Santa.

Our Christmas deliveries are set to bring hope and happiness to over 300 people in Byker and Walker. However, with the economic challenges faced by many, we anticipate an increase in referrals in the coming weeks. Your donations will make a significant difference in what we can provide in these hampers. As food prices rise, we must spend more to maintain our stock of essentials.
