We cater for over 80+ young people aged 6 - 18 by providing Scouting on a weekly basis at our Helmsley HQ. The building has served the community & scouting well over the last 100 years. We have taken the bold move to rebuild and we would like to provide a new community hub for everyone within the Helmsley community.

Story

Tired of the annual struggle to fit a fragrant pine into the confines of your car, only to face the tedious queues at the tip and the relentless task of picking pine needles from your vehicle for months to come?

Fear not, for the 1st Helmsley Scout Group is here to rescue you from this post-holiday dilemma with their extraordinary Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme. Why burden yourself with the trials of tree disposal when this dedicated group is ready to handle it all on your behalf?

Picture this: Instead of wrestling with your Christmas tree and navigating crowded disposal centers, you can sit back and relax as the 1st Helmsley Scout Group takes charge.

But hold on, there's a catch—well, not really a catch, but a geographical limit. The magical tree collection service is exclusive to the enchanting areas of Helmsley, Sproxton, Oswaldkirk, and Ampleforth due to the limit of volunteers.

If you're lucky enough to reside in one of these locales, consider yourself in for a treat.

Now, for a mere minimum donation of £5 per tree (or a slightly more generous £10 if your tree happens to be a towering 8 feet or more), the Scouts will descend upon your doorstep to whisk away your festive foliage. But here's the heartwarming twist—the proceeds from this goodwill gesture go towards the construction of a brand-new Scout Hut, a venture that promises not just a brighter future for the environment but also a sanctuary for the young minds of the community.
