Story
A safe and stable home is a basic human right — essential for health, dignity, and hope. Yet for too many people in Coventry, this is far from reality, especially during the coldest months of the year.
At the end of 2024, homelessness in England continued to rise, with hundreds of thousands of people left without a secure place to call home. Behind these numbers are families, young people, and individuals facing unimaginable hardship.
Here in Coventry, the challenge is particularly severe. The city’s rapid growth and housing pressures have led to:
A sharp rise in rough sleeping in just two years, far outpacing the national average.
A record number of households in temporary accommodation, with demand for emergency support higher than ever.
Hundreds of new people seeking help every month – more than double the numbers seen just a short time ago.
That’s why our Christmas & Winter Appeal 2025–2026 is so important. With your support, we can provide warmth, safety, and hope to those who need it most.
We will still be asking for donations for our service users, which we can put into gift bags:
-Winter socks/gloves
-200g Choc Bars (not nuts)
-Toiletries
-Selection boxes
-Biscuits
-Non-perishable food
Together, we can make sure no one is left out in the cold this winter. Every donation brings comfort, dignity, and the chance of a brighter future.
Thank you for supporting our Christmas & Winter Appeal.
