Superhero Walk is back!
For the first time since the COVID pandemic, we are so excited for CHSFs famous Superhero Walk. This year it is being held on Sunday 11th September at Morley Cricket Club.
Because of super people like you, Children's Heart Surgery Fund can raise money, fund life-saving projects and make a real difference to those living with congenital heart disease in our region. Thank you.
However much you donate we really do appreciate your support. Youre a true hero in our eyes and we hope that you feel super-proud. We cant wait to walk with you at Superhero Walk 2022!
You're a hero to children like Raven
Raven was born with a congenital heart disease called coarctation of the aorta. This meant she would have to go through life-saving open heart surgery at only a few days old. Thankfully the incredible team at the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit were able to successfully operate on Raven, who has gone on to have a very good recovery and is back home with her family.
Ravens mum Ashleigh said:
This was the hardest thing weve ever had to deal with. We are from Scarborough, but under the circumstances I hadto give birth at LGI. A HUGE thank you to Childrens Heart Surgery Fund for everything they have done for us while we were away from home. This journey would have been a lot tougher if it wasnt for this amazing charity. We appreciate everything.
