Support Our Heroes: Fundraising for Severely Wounded Veterans

Join the Ukrainian Medical Charity and CITIZEN Charity Foundation in our mission to provide vital care for the brave defenders of Ukraine who have endured severe injuries while protecting our homeland.

Every day, the ongoing conflict results in over 500 Ukrainian soldiers being wounded in action. Many of these wounded soldiers require specialized medical attention and rehabilitation. Certain severe injuries necessitate lengthy or even palliative care and treatment as part of the long recovery process.

In 2023, more than 129,000 soldiers sacrificed their health for our freedom, yet state funding falls short of meeting their needs. Hospitals currently receive a mere 19,000 UAH (about 352 GBP) per patient, which is woefully inadequate for the comprehensive care required. You can make a difference by donating as little as 1 GBP per day to support their recovery.

The essential components of treatment for our severely wounded veterans include:

Medical supplies, bandages, and disposable instruments

Specialized nutrition

Hygiene products

Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary medical support

Diagnostic tests and consultations with specialists

Care for bedsores and social support

To provide just one month of palliative care for a single patient, we need approximately 3,300 GBP (107 GBP per day). This long and challenging journey calls for our collective support and compassion.
