At Cambridge Junction art meets life. We are a hub for people to come together, explore, and be inspired by the arts. Each year over 100,000 people join us for over 650 performances - gigs, theatre, dance and comedy shows, as well as creative learning work with fantastic local young people.

Story

Join us from 29th March - 4th July as we venture across Great Britain, covering 1,115 miles without leaving our local areas. We'll be stopping off at 12 other arts centres on the way and finding out what our friends are up to. Track the progress of everybody on the Virtual Mission page, and track the progress of our flagship team, Total Arts, by following Cambridge Junction's social media pages.

You can even join in yourself! Take on the mammoth challenge of covering 1,115 miles yourself, or team up with a group to complete the miles collectively. Read more about taking part on the event page.

The idea for the virtual walk came from Cambridge Junction's young disability arts group, Total Arts . The original plan was to raise money for Irving, a founding member of the group's, new powered wheelchair. However, Irving and the team smashed this target last year, so it was decided to raise money for the venue and it's creative learning programme, so more young people can have access to the arts.

In a normal year Cambridge Junction is home to over 400 gigs, comedians, theatre and dance shows and everything in between in J1 and J2 each year. It's also a hive of activity behind the scenes with a buzzing creative learning programme both in house and in the local community, plus a strong focus on artist development, commissioning new work and providing opportunity. You can read more about why supporting Cambridge Junction is worthwhile on their website.
