Townhead Community Sports Hub

Cumnock juniors Community Enterprise are seeking funding to allow us to develop our exciting new community sports pavilion.

Cumnock Juniors Community Enterpriser a charity set up to promote health, wellbeing and community through sports and leisure activities.

Story

Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise has evolved from a sports-centric charity organisation into a multi-faceted entity that greatly contributes significantly to the community's health and wellbeing. It operates from Townhead Community Sports Hub and offers diverse services, including sports facilities, community health and wellbeing programmes and community events.

We currently have over 500 male and female youth footballers, 40 walking footballers, drug and alcohol recovery football participants, all ability bike users and provide food bank services and cost of living support to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Currently, the charity operates from a building which is now over 100 years old and is not fit for purpose. It is our aim to replace this building with a purpose built community sports pavilion which will provide not only a much needed increase to our current changing facilities but also provide a flexible community space. This will allow us to offer more community programmes and bring back much needed flexible community space into the heart of Cumnock.

The project is currently at planning application stage and we are confident of having planning approval soon. We now seek funding to allow us to develop the plans to building warrant stage which would allow us to start construction of the facility once partner funding has been obtained. Our aim is to start building in 2025 and complete the project in 2026. Donations through Justgiving would have a huge impact on us being able to achieve this and would make such a difference to our community.
