On 12th April I will be running the Brighton Marathon using the Be My Eyes app on the Ray-Ban Meta glasses to guide me round the course.

Brighton Marathon 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

Imagine being told that you, or someone you love, is losing their sight. In that moment, two profound questions demand urgent answers: Can this be stopped? How will I live my life? We fund the brilliant minds and bright ideas, putting change in sight for everyone impacted by vision loss.

Story

I’m proud to be an ambassador and long-term supporter of the charity Fight for Sight. I want to blow away people's expectations of what sight loss means and to be a role model for people of all ages with visually impairment.

I am taking on the most exciting, terrifying and ground-breaking marathon run! As an artist I push the boundaries of braille, so when I got the Meta Ray-Bans with the app Be My Eyes I thought how can I push this technology. I had a crazy idea to run a marathon without a guide runner and without a white cane, and instead will be guided by Be My Eyes.

On 12th April I will be running the Brighton Marathon using the Be My Eyes app on the Ray-Ban Meta glasses to guide me round the course.

I think it could be the first ever marathon through people with AI technology, with someone physically chatting to my head for 26.2 miles. We’re going to have a relay of glasses and relay of people talking to me. It shows that the app Be My Eyes is ground-breaking, not just for going into a shop, but the independence that I can run a marathon with complete strangers. I am excited to see if we can pull this off.

Please support me and help to save sight, change lives

Thank you
