Story
On 3 July 2026, we will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to raise vital funds for Mind of the Student. Standing at 1085m (3560ft), this challenge is much more than just a walk — it is a powerful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people struggling with their mental health.
Students and staff from Bower Park Academy and Hall Mead School in Havering will be taking part in this incredible challenge, coming together to raise awareness and support for youth mental health.
Mind of the Student is a youth mental health charity dedicated to supporting children and young people through workshops, early intervention programmes and wellbeing support delivered in schools and local communities. Every day, more young people are facing anxiety, stress, low self esteem and other mental health challenges, yet many still do not have access to the support they need.
By climbing Snowdon, we are raising awareness and funds to help continue providing safe spaces, practical coping strategies and emotional support for young people across the UK. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue delivering life changing mental health education and support to those who need it most.
This climb will test our determination, resilience and teamwork, but every step towards the summit represents hope for young people facing their own challenges every day.
Please support our journey and help us continue changing lives through mental health support and education.
