Story
In 1975, at the Blue Boar pub in Chipping Norton, a group of friends sat down together and founded what would become Chipping Norton Rugby Union Football Club. Originally the club had neither clubhouse nor pitches, they would follow thanks to the fundraising efforts of those early pioneers. Today it is through the dedication and generosity of individuals past and present that the club celebrates its 50th anniversary.
While we celebrate the past we are looking to the future, so please support our Club Development Campaign, so that we can have a club fit for the next 50 years.
First up we urgently need to upgrade our floodlights. The existing lights will soon be obsolete and they are expensive to run. If we reach our target we can replace them with low energy LED lights, better for rugby and better for the environment. Secondly we have applied for RFU social space funding to refresh the Clubhouse, so your donations will help match their grant and unlock RFU funding for our club.
