Virginia Peninsula Foodbank serves families, seniors, and individuals that reside in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of Gloucester, James City, Mathews, Surry, and York. We inspire hope by leading the effort for a hunger-free and properly-nourished community.

Story

With 62,000 people facing food insecurity everyday across the Peninsula, it takes a community effort to fight hunger. These individuals are faced with the impossible choice of paying for other essential items such as utilities, childcare, and prescriptions, over food. Together, we can help them not face that choice.

Your donations support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank's mobile pantry distributions, their Food for Backpacks Program which provides children with food over the weekend, and many other programs they offer to support the community. Christopher Newport University students, faculty, alumni, friends, and family, let's rally and tackle hunger together! We can fill plates, put smiles on faces, and bring hope to so many children, seniors, veterans, and families.
