Trible Library at CNU's 14th Annual Food for Thought Campaign

Trible Library is raising money for Virginia Peninsula Foodbank

CNU's 14th Annual Food for Thought Campaign · 16 November 2021

Christopher Newport's Center for Community Engagement is excited!! For the 14th year, CNU students, faculty, and staff join together to support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and our neighbors in need throughout the Greater Peninsula.

Story

With 62,000 people facing food insecurity everyday across the Peninsula, it takes a community effort to fight hunger. These individuals are faced with the impossible choice of paying for other essential items such as utilities, childcare, and prescriptions, over food. Together, we can help them not face that choice. Your donations support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank's mobile pantry distributions, their Food for Backpacks Program which provides children with food over the weekend, and many other programs they offer to support the community. Christopher Newport University students, faculty, alumni, friends, and family, let's rally and tackle hunger together! We can fill plates, put smiles on faces, and bring hope to so many children, seniors, veterans, and families.
