There are nine million lonely people in the UK and four million of them are older people.

Half a million older people go at least five or six days a week without seeing or speaking to anyone at all (Age UK 2016)

These shocking figures are enough to for us to take action and try end loneliness.

Many older people find constant loneliness hardest to overcome. They lack the friendship and support we all need. We at Al Muntada Trust have taken it upon us to combat this issue by starting the over 50's coffee morning.

The coffee morning aims to provide help, support, advice and information as well as a pastoral service. This FREE service hopes the encourage regular meetings to help people network and become active.
