When Ellie crossed the finish line of Perth’s Colour Run last summer—her face lit up in pink powder and pride—she wasn’t just completing a fun 2.4km route. She was achieving something she never thought possible. Like many kids in her area, Ellie didn’t have regular access to sports clubs or STEM activities. She struggled with confidence and rarely put her hand up in class.

But at the Energy Festival, Ellie found something different: a free space to try new things, meet new friends, and discover strengths she didn’t know she had—on the bike track, in the science tent, and on the colour-splashed running path.

This is what Energy Sport & STEM is all about. We bring sport, science, and joy to families who face real barriers—financial, social, and emotional. Through free community events, we tackle isolation, inactivity, and health inequality head-on.
