The Charlotte Straker Project is a 32-room care home in Corbridge which has provided residential, nursing and respite care to the frail and elderly of Northumberland since 1992. We enable local authority funded residents stay in Charlotte Straker House by funding local authority fee shortfalls. We provide 8 supported living bungalows in our grounds. We also provide a daily respite care for any eligible individuals in the community, with meals, activities, care and companionship.
As a not-for-profit care home, any surplus income is reinvested for the benefit of our residents. Any donations and grants to our charity help fund activities, outings, essential equipment and resources for our nursing, residential and respite patients. We offer to our residents 24- hour personal support, accommodation and a full catering service to those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance. We treat each resident as an individual and our facilities are designed to give our residents security, encourage independence and provide the best in residential care.
Our nursing and care staff deliver a high standard of personal care to our nursing, respite and residential residents. We maximise the quality of the resident's life by providing a full and varied programme of social activities for those who wish to participate, including a programme of complementary therapies.
