Story

Compass for Life is a framework that provides students with a formula that empowers them to take responsibility for their own learning, and to achieve their ambitions in partnership with their teachers.

It is not limited to just academic goals and can be used by people of all ages and nationalities, so it also helps the teachers develop their own compass as they journey with their students to higher levels of performance.

Based on a a unique approach, Compass for Life brings together the best aspects of leadership training currently available into a simple, concise, and effective framework. It complements all current leadership methodology by aligning them with each cardinal so that everyone can have a compass for life that works for them as an individual, family, team or organisation.

“Compass gives meaning to school, and shows the children there is a goal at the end of it - it allows children to say “I’m doing all of this now because I want to achieve something at the end of it. It’s helping us to give school purpose, and it’s making a great difference!” Suzanne Best Headteacher - Kingshill School

“Floyd Woodrow’s Compass for Life is a beautifully simple idea. But don’t be deceived by how easy it is to grasp. Behind the scenes lies some highly sophisticated psychology, with a well-established evidence base for enhancing wellbeing, performance, and relationship quality." Dr Roger Bretherton, Associate Professor in Psychology, University of Lincoln.
