We offer hope. For over 60 years, we have provided glimpses of a better world because we commit to relationships where people can simply be themselves with others inc. those with whom they disagree. Through respite and practical workshops, we facilitate the work towards peace.

Story

Volunteers are the beating heart of Corrymeela - from our community of Members to our long-term volunteers, we wouldn't be able to do the hard work of peacebuilding without them. Not only that, but they are willing to raise a sweat by running a marathon to raise funds - we are so grateful!

If you can donate today, your donation will provide vital funds to support the next generation of peace builders through our volunteers, centre users and Community members.

Hear from our relay team:

Naomi shares her reasons for taking part,

I have recently gotten into running since moving to Ballycastle, as the beautiful oceanside trails and roads make it impossible to stay inside! It has been such a gift to live at Corrymeela, in part because of the natural beauty that surrounds it. While I haven’t been running long, the Belfast Marathon seems like a great opportunity to run with others in such a supportive and high energy environment.

As a volunteer at Corrymeela, I am so grateful for the opportunity to interact with the large network that makes up its international community. Participating in Corrymeela’s long-term volunteer program has provided me with first-hand facilitation experience and new insights about the place of transformative peace building in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Logan encourages you to support his race,

Hi! I’m Logan from Oregon! This is my first relay marathon, and while I’ve been attempting to identify as a runner for a couple years now, I anticipate it being quite the challenge!

Donations to Corrymeela go a long way when it comes to supporting volunteers like us. The work Corrymeela does is great for communities across Northern Ireland, so the more you’re willing to help us on our mission, the better!

Thiago shares his story of Corrymeela:

My name is Thiago Albino, I'm 25 years old, and I was born and raised outside the city of São Paulo in Brazil. Taking part in the marathon is a new, exciting thing for me that I've always wanted to try but never got myself to do, and being with friends makes it so much more fun!

I came to Corrymeela as a volunteer 4 years ago, and the program changed my life. So, donating to Corrymeela will contribute to the volunteer program to carry on, bringing people from all around the world to make a difference. Thank you so much!

Please support our team to raise vital funds for the work of Corrymeela!
