Story
For many of the families we support across Lanarkshire, everyday life is a struggle. Rising costs, financial insecurity, and complex family challenges mean that seasonal treats like Easter eggs can seem like a luxury. Yet small moments of joy can make a huge difference for children who are going through difficult times. Your donation can help ensure that the young people we support don’t feel left out when Easter arrives.
COVEY supports children, young people, and families facing challenges including poverty, poor mental health, isolation, trauma, and additional support needs. Through mentoring, group activities, and whole-family support, we help young people build confidence, improve wellbeing, and feel part of their community. But we also know that feeling included in everyday celebrations matters too. For some of the children we support, Easter eggs are something they may not receive at home. Providing one is a small gesture, but it can mean a lot.
One young person told us: “COVEY helped me feel like I wasn’t alone anymore. It’s the only place where I feel like people actually listen to me.”
Another parent shared: “The support from COVEY has changed things for our whole family. My child finally feels confident and happy again.”
We are asking supporters to help us provide 139 Easter eggs for the children and young people currently involved in our projects who may not otherwise receive one this year. With your help, we can make Easter a little brighter for the children and young people we support.
