Story

For CRAG's Christmas and New Year appeal this year, we set a fundraising target of £2,500 for Safe Passage, a charity organising and campaigning for safe and legal routes for child refugees to join family members in the UK. The campaign was inspired by our theme for the 2020 Charlbury Christmas Tree Festival: we decorated our tree with 39 stars, one for each child who has died trying to cross the Channel since 1999.

We've achieved the target! So now, we would like to send any further funds raised for this appeal by our New Year Challenge to choose Choose Love (https://helprefugees.org/ ), which provides basic necessities - food, shelter, warm clothes - to refugees in desperate need, in the camps in Greece or the streets of Calais.

For any new donors (after 10 January), please let treasurer@charlburyrefugee.org.uk know if you would prefer your donation to go to Safe Passage, otherwise it will go to Choose Love (https://helprefugees.org/ ).
