Story
Over the last few years, the Craignish Community provision of Publicly Accessible Defibrillators (PAD) has improved markedly, both in terms of physical coverage and of the technology, which enables anyone to use one.
Ardfern, Craobh Haven, Craignish Point (Kirkton) are all covered. A location gap, which has many residents, is Lunga. It is also where, particulaly in the summer, there are many visitors. The minutes lost of trying to explain where the defib is at LOTI, for someone just visiting Lunga, could be crucial. Even for residents it takes 10 minutes to get down to LOTI and back - too long.
The proposal is to have a PAD on the eternal wall of the new laundry/shower block next to the riding ring at Lunga - very visble and central. It will be in an unlocked but heated cabinet, the same as the one at LOTI, so it will work even in the depths of winter.
We also now have 4, soon to be 5 PADS in the community and they all have defined battery and electrode life - which costs money to maintain. So we would like to replenish C3's funds for this work.
We are very grateful for your contributions.
