There are so many people in Lancaster, Morecambe and our surrounding District that are totally housebound and have no family or friends due to age or people living away. The only people they see are carers rushing in and out and people coming for medical appointments. In 2023 we realised no one was supporting this group of people socially and set up 'Stay Connected'. Jeannie, Vic and Barbara have create the most wonderful service, calling and visiting this vulnerable group of people who say the following " I look forward to my visits and calls its the highlight of my week". "This service has been life saving, literally I had given up, Vic and Jeannie have given me hope, and laughter something that hasn't been in my life for such a long time." " Barbara and Tim treat me like family, they take me down memory lane they are fabulous."

Visiting these people is a privilege, the people's stories are fantastic and the difference it makes is truly life changing. We have helped people get wet rooms, benefits they should have been on for years, equipment to make getting around easier, we h, we have visited people in hospital who would normally have no visitors, we have delivered celebratory afternoon teas, Christmas presents to everyone, Birthday presents and Easter treats as well as organising lifelines, wheel chairs and medication.
