Story
Guided by UW Green Bay’s institutional mission to provide problem focused, career driven education that fosters critical thinking and community partnership, CSET plays a central role in fulfilling the university’s commitment to access, innovation, and regional workforce development. Faculty across the college are active teachers and scholars who offer high impact experiences such as undergraduate research, laboratory and fieldwork, internships, and industry connected projects, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real world challenges
The College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay is committed to preparing the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians through hands on, problem focused education. Yet for many talented students, financial barriers remain a major obstacle to pursuing and completing a STEM degree. Scholarships are one of the most powerful tools we have to expand access, remove barriers, and empower students to fully engage in high impact learning experiences that shape career ready graduates.
Last year, UW Green Bay celebrated a historic milestone: a $1 million scholarship gift from alumnus Dr. Paul J. Schilling ’82 to support high achieving STEM students with financial need. This renewable scholarship supports incoming STEM majors across disciplines including human biology, biology, chemistry, environmental science, geoscience, water science, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, and mathematics and statistics.
This extraordinary act of generosity has already elevated STEM opportunities at UW Green Bay—and now, we are seeking to build on that momentum. By donating to CSET today, you can amplify the impact sparked by Dr. Schilling’s gift, expanding scholarship availability and ensuring that more students from diverse backgrounds can pursue STEM degrees without financial hardship.
