Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A friend of mine has been diagnosed with a CSF Leak after many years of ill health. I'm running in the Great North Run to raise much needed funds for the CSF Leak association. It's a great charity supporting people with this rare neurological condition. Its incredibly painful, debilitating and isolating and it can be challenging to diagnose and treat. Crucially it is curable with early diagnosis and treatment giving the best chance of total resolution of symptoms.

This is a big challenge for me and any contribution will make a big difference to the charity which is passionate about improving access to quality information and resources, securing swift access to diagnostic techniques and treatments, and advocating for clear and consistent patient pathways in the NHS and supporting research into CSF leaks.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Here is a little video about CSF Leaks.

About the charity

A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak is a serious, painful and often incapacitating medical condition stemming from a tear in the membrane containing the fluid that protects the brain and spinal cord. At least 5 in 100000 people are affected by spontaneous CSF leaks alone. They generally underdiagnosed.
