Playground Project

The total project will cost up to £30,000 (we have applied for grant funding for a large part of this) and will get us: a new MUGA, a repaired and usable KS1 trim trail & an EYFS climbing wall plus other playground equipment i.e. wall games.

Christ the King PTFA exists to support the school, its pupils and their families, in providing events to connect together, as well as raising funds for school trips and essential projects, such as our playground project, which is our big focus this year.

Story

As you will have seen, we currently have no usable large playground equipment or a working MUGA (multi use games area) for the whole school. With winter looming, the school field becomes waterlogged and the children are restricted to their playgrounds more. Unfortunately the MUGA and wooden equipment all failed safety inspections at around the same time and we desperately need to replace them asap. The PTFA (all of us!) is looking to raise money through grant funding, fundraisers and this campaign to provide:

A new and sustainable MUGA

A repaired and usable KS1 large trim trail

An EYFS climbing wall

Other smaller play equipment i.e. wall games & an orienteering trail

We need your support to make it happen! We have applied for some grant funding, but need to contribute as a school community too, as this will not cover the total costs. As soon as we hit our target, we can get contractors in to get to work and transform our children's playtimes! Happy playtimes make such a difference to our children's wellbeing, at school and at home. Let's make it happen together!

If every family was able to contribute an average of £20 (some more, some less, we know finances are tight), this would instantly raise around £4000 on this campaign alone! With £1500 raised towards the playground project from last year's events, we are well on our way to making a lasting difference for our children at Christ the King!
