Fionas sister, Lisa, visited Maggies while receiving treatment for cancer shortly before Fiona was also diagnosed with breast cancer. The centre provided support for them both but while Fiona came out the other end of treatment, Lisa sadly died before her 50th Birthday, leaving a young family behind.
After I lost my sister my friends at Maggies were there for me every step and still are. I would encourage anyone to sign up for Culture Crawl and to help contribute to the cancer support Maggies provides.
