Story

The Cost of Living Crisis continues in to 2026

As the price of food, fuel and other expenses continues to rise, the impact is often most keenly felt by the most vulnerable in our community. More older people than before are turning to Age UK RBH to seek assistance in a variety of ways, due to the cost of living crisis. This may be in the form of support in claiming benefits, accessing our Wanstead Activity Centre for home cooked food and a warm place to socialise or to have help in the home or a befriending phone call.

Our staff and volunteers work hard to provide these necessary services, however our charity’s running costs are also rising. By donating to Age UK RBH, you will be helping to cover the costs of these vital services allowing us to remain centred in the community as the go to place for information and support if you are an older person residing in Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham or Havering. We really appreciate your donation, no matter how big or small. Thank you so much for your valuable contribution.
