This year marks a significant milestone for Cumbria Youth Alliance (CYA) as it celebrates 25 years of improving the lives of young people by working with and for them to help them reach their full potential. Since 1998, CYA has supported over 100,000 young Cumbrians, tackling disadvantage and creating opportunity through partnerships with the third sector, funders, and businesses.
To mark this anniversary, CYA is launching a campaign to raise £25,000 to expand its life-changing work—funding youth leadership programmes, supporting rural communities, and filling urgent gaps in support. As the charity reflects on its legacy, it’s also embracing the future with a new strategy focused on youth empowerment, sector resilience, and stronger community connections.
