Ethiopia Medical Project (EMP) is dedicated to supporting Buccama Health Centre in rural Ethiopia. The charity focuses on preventing, raising awareness and treating Podoconiosis and Uterine Prolapse. Both these widespread conditions carry a social stigma with sufferers reporting being ostracized from their families and communities. Yet both conditions can be treated, and in many cases reversed, with some simple treatments.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Marion Pennie recently visited the project in Southern Ethiopia and will be returning this February, just before the big Cape Town Cycle Tour - a challenging 109km route - which takes place on March 9th, 2025.

The Bucamma Health Centre is devoted to helping very rural communities who live as subsistence farmers. EMP supports the Health Centre in providing care for:

• Maternity care

• Women's health

• Podoconiosis (a severe foot condition affecting men, women, and children, which prevents them from living productive lives)

Please support Marion Pennie in her amazing effort for EMP.
